Charlcombe Parish Council discharges its duties and powers within the law and according to its governance policies. These policies are reviewed annually.
The rules governing the behaviour of Parish Councillors are set out in a Code of Conduct which can be opened by clicking on this link. The Code of Conduct was last updated in November 2012 in accordance with Government and B&NES policy.
Parish Councillors work to rules on how Council business shall be conducted These rules are set out in the Standing Orders adopted by the Parish Council. These are reviewed annually and can be read by clicking on this link.
From 2018, smaller authorities with a turnover of less than £25,000, will be exempt from external audit, but will have to complete and publish the same forms and information. PKF Littlejohn has been appointed to act as our external audit authority from 2018 onwards.
