About the Parish

The Civil Parish of Charlcombe lies just to the north of Bath, between the city and the county boundary with South Gloucestershire. It stretches from the Lam Brook and Woolley Valley in the east to Upper Weston and the Cotswold Way in the west. Although large in area, the Parish has fewer than 400 residents, who live mainly in the hamlets of Charlcombe, Woolley, Langridge and Upper Weston (Dean Hill) and on the top of Lansdown. The Parish lies entirely within the Green Belt and Cotswold National Landscape (AONB). Administratively, Charlcombe forms part of the Bathavon North Ward of Bath & North East Somerset (B&NES).

Charlcombe contains one Conservation Area, designated in 1981, centred on Charlcombe Lane and the hamlet of Charlcombe.
